Long term hires

Delivery

We can deliver to, and collect from anywhere in the UK. Within Brighton it costs £15 per trip, outside of that it's £1.50 per mile. Please get in touch with us for bespoke quotes on long distance deliveries.

Our standard delivery times are:

  • Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm
  • Sat 9am - 3pm

Opening Hours

Rentals can be collected and dropped off at any time the studio is open. Please get in touch for any non standard pickup times and we may be able to accommodate them.

  • Mon - Fri 9.30am - Midnight
  • Sat - Sun 9.30am - 10pm

Equipment setup and engineering

We can supply experienced staff to simply set your equipment up and take it down for you or to engineer and run your whole event. Engineer rates start at £20 per hour. Our staff include sound engineers, stage managers, lighting engineers and more.

Terms and Conditions

Equipment hire bookings of £200 or over will need to be secured with a 20% holding deposit. This is refundable up to 48 hours before the agreed collection date. Deposits paid for last minute bookings i.e 48hours before the collection date will be refundable in all circumstances.

On the day of the hire a security deposit will need to be taken on a card, in the form of a Pre Authorisation. The standard amount is £100.00 however for high value hires a larger fee can be applied at staff discretion. This is to cover any loss or damage that might occur when the equipment is in your care. This pre auth amount will be withheld from your account for the duration of the hire and may take up to 10 working days to be returned. Please note that you will be liable for the full replacement value of the equipment, should any loss or damage occur.

In addition we also require a form of photo ID such as a passport or driver's license, and recent proof of address (utility bill or bank statement from the last 3 months).

All hires run on a 24 hour duration from the time you come to collect. Any late returns will be deducted from the deposit.

Please read through the following terms and conditions before coming to collect the hire:

  • THE HIRER will be liable for the full replacement value should any loss or damage incurred exceed the deposit.
  • THE HIRER will, during the period of the hire, be responsible for the supervision of the equipment, its care, safety from damage, however slight, of any sort, and the behaviour of all persons of all ages during the equipment hire, whatever their capacity.
  • THE HIRER shall not use the equipment for any purpose other than that described in the hire agreement, and shall not sub-hire or use the equipment or allow the equipment to be used for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way.
  • THE HIRER is liable for the full repair or replacement cost should any damage or loss occur.
  • THE HIRER shall be deemed to have inspected the equipment and to have agreed that it is supplied in good condition unless he/she brings it to the attention of Brighton Electric when it is picked up
  • I DECLARE that I have read and understood these conditions of hire and any relevant operating and safety instructions supplied with the equipment, and I sign the contract fully aware of the implications and responsibilities placed upon me by doing so.

Hire Terms and Conditions

  • Drivers must be aged between 23 and 75 and have held their licence for over 2 years.
  • They must have no more than 6 points on their licence.
  • A £250.00 security deposit must be paid on a card. This is a held transaction for the duration of the hire. The deposit will be returned up to 10 working days after the hire has ended as per the hire agreement. Although we take £250.00 for this transaction the hirer will be liable for up to £500.00 in the event of an accident or any damage caused.
  • All drivers must provide their photocard license and a DVLA license check code to be covered by the insurance. The check code can be obtained via this link:

  • We require a recent proof of address in addition to your driver’s licence. This must be shown at the time of hire.
  • You are responsible for all fines while in charge of the vehicle (parking, congestion, contravention of traffic laws). Non--payment will result in a 15% admin fee being charged in addition to the fine.
  • All tolls are the responsibility of the hirer.
  • You are responsible for any damage while in charge of the vehicle, regardless of blame. Any damages will be charged at the discretion of Brighton Electric staff.
  • Please be aware of the weight of your passengers and cargo. Brighton Electric accepts no responsibility for overweight vehicles.
  • Your van will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. Please return it full. If the tank is not full upon return you will be charged for the fuel plus a 15% refueling charge. This will be taken from your deposit unless arranged in advance.
